How To Draw Joey on a Flower Step By Step

Joey on a Flower Step 1

Step 1 – Draw Joey’s Face and Long Nose

Start by drawing Joey’s small mischievous face near the center of the page. Sketch his sleepy-looking eyes with tiny pupils and add his curved smiling mouth underneath. Then draw his long thin nose stretching far outward to the right side. Keep the face narrow and smooth because Joey has a slim cartoon design compared to the other cockroaches.

Step 2 – Add the Antennas and Upper Body

Now draw Joey’s two long curved antennas extending upward and outward from the top of his head. Add the pointed wing-like upper body shape behind the face and sketch the segmented back section near the rear of the body. The antennas should be very long and flexible to create movement and make the character look lively and animated.

Step 3 – Draw the Arms, Hands, and Back Legs

Next, draw Joey’s long skinny arms hanging downward from the body. Add his small cartoon hands with thin fingers at the ends of the arms. Then sketch the back legs extending behind the body with tiny feet near the top left side. Keep all the limbs thin and curved to match Joey’s lightweight insect-like appearance.

Step 4 – Add the Flower and Finish the Final Drawing

Complete the drawing by adding the large flower behind Joey. Draw the rounded flower petals around the character along with the curved flower stem extending downward. Add a leaf attached to the stem to complete the plant. Carefully trace the final outline and erase any remaining sketch lines. Once finished, you’ll have a full drawing of Joey sitting on a flower from Oggy and the Cockroaches, featuring his long antennas, mischievous smile, and playful cartoon style.
