How To Draw Bob Step By Step

Bob Step 1

Step 1 – Draw Bob’s Eyes and Big Round Face

Start your drawing by sketching Bob’s large circular face in the center of the page. Near the top of the circle, draw two big round eyes with tiny pupils to create his funny and confused expression. Under the eyes, add his oval-shaped nose. Keep the lines smooth and simple because this large round face is the main shape of Bob’s character design.

Bob Step 2

Step 2 – Add the Top of the Head and Facial Details

Now draw the upper part of Bob’s head around the eyes. Add the curved forehead shape and the small pointed spikes on top of his head. Draw the large moustache-like mouth area stretching across the front of the face. Add short beard stubble lines around the lower part of the face to give Bob his rough and scruffy look. You can also add small wrinkle lines near the eyes and cheeks for extra cartoon detail.

Bob Step 3

Step 3 – Draw the Spiked Collar Around the Neck

Behind Bob’s giant face, draw a thick circular collar wrapping around his neck area. Then add several large triangular spikes sticking outward from the collar. Space the spikes evenly around the ring to make the design balanced. This spiked collar is one of Bob’s most recognizable features, so make the spikes bold and sharp.

Bob Step 4

Step 4 – Add the Body, Tail, Arms, and Legs

Next, draw Bob’s tall rounded body extending downward behind the collar. Add his long curved tail sweeping outward to the side and ending near the ground. Sketch his small cartoon arms and tiny hands near the sides of the body. Then draw his short curved legs and rounded feet underneath. Add the oval belly patch and a small stitched “X” detail in the center to complete the body design.

Bob Step 5

Step 5 – Finish Bob Drawing

Carefully trace over the final outline of the entire character and erase any extra sketch lines. Darken the spikes, facial features, tail, feet, and body outline so the drawing looks clean and polished. Once everything is finished, you’ll have a complete drawing of Bob from Oggy and the Cockroaches.
