How To Draw Ennui Step By Step
This step-by-step guide will help you draw Ennui, the calm and laid-back character from Inside Out 2. By following the instructions and using the reference image, you’ll learn how to sketch their unique features and relaxed expression. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this guide offers simple steps to capture Ennui’s distinctive appearance.
Step 1 - Draw the Basic Head Shape
Start with a simple shape for the head. Draw curved lines for the head and add a large triangle shape for the nose. The face is tilted downwards.
Step 2 - Add the Facial Features and Outline the Hair
Draw two large oval eyes at the top-center of the face, ensuring they are symmetrical. Add the pupils and a sketch a small, slightly open mouth below the nose for the character’s neutral expression. Draw the hairs as they are leaning downward.
Step 3 - Adding Hair Detail and Hand
Draw curvy lines to depict the hair strands falling onto the forehead and sides. Draw Ennui’s arms hanging down and holding a phone in his hand.
Step 4 - Draw the Body
Sketch the upper part of Ennui's body. Draw a straight line from the collar to the hand for his torso. Add curved lines below the torso for his legs.
Step 5 - Draw the Socks
Draw a curved line below the legs to form the Long socks.
Step 6 - Finalize the Drawing
Clean up any stray lines and add final details like shading or texture to the hair and clothing. Erase the guidelines, and your sketch of Ennui is complete!
